Other Events
As well as our regular Tuesday stalls in Salisbury Market, we may also be found at other events around Salisbury and Wiltshire, and occasionally further afield.
People in the Park
This is an annual event in Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Salisbury. Organised by Salisbury Transition City. It features entertainment on two outdoor stages and a host of stalls from local voluntary and environmentally focussed groups and businesses.
People in the Park takes place on a Saturday, usually in mid May, and has grown to be Salisbury’s best and most popular annual outdoor event.

Other Local Events
As well as the Market, we have brought our stall to a variety of community events in and around Salisbury.
2023
On Sunday 2nd April 2023, we shared a stall at Salisbury’s vegan market event with Salisbury Transition City, and on May 8th that year, the bank holiday Monday following the coronation, we took part in the ‘Big Help Out’ event in Guildhall Square, where our stall was visited by local celebrity tv archaeologist Phil Harding (who is deputy lieutenant of the county of Wiltshire), and by the then mayor of Salisbury, Cllr. Tom Corbin (picture left). On May 23rd 2023, EcoHub Trustee Richard Sharp gave a talk “Global methane levels may be out of control!” at Salisbury’s annual Pint of Science lectures.
2024
In February 2024 we were at a Wiltshire Climate Alliance conference in Devizes, and then in Salisbury Guildhall as part of an Active Travel Conference, organised by COGS (Cycling Opportunities Group Salisbury), which is one of our member groups. In June Richard Sharp gave a talk on thermal imaging to a Salisbury RSA Fellows Meeting, and in July we took our stall to a community event in Harnham (photo right). In August Richard took our stall to a Winterslow WI open meeting, and in September he demonstrated using our thermal imaging cameras at both Alderbury School Environment Club and at Greentrees School, Bishopdown.
2025
From October 2024 to early 2025 we attended a series of Energy “Tea Party” advice events at Warminster Civic Hall, hosted by Sustainable Warminster (photo left), and in January and February 2025 we held a number of stalls in Salisbury Library to advise people on conducting their own thermal imaging surveys.
In June and August 2025 we had stalls at community events in Harnham, Bishopdown and the Friary, and in October 2025 we co-hosted a film show and discussion with Salisbury XR at St. Johns Place, Lower Bemerton, marking 40 years since the so-called “Battle of the Beanfield” and closing down of Stonehenge Festival.
We have also taken our stall to Green Drinks in Salisbury on several occasions, and to various Wiltshire Climate Alliance events in and around County Hall in Trowbridge including the Climate Summit held jointly with Wiltshire Council in 2025.
Salisbury Church Events
In October 2022 we combined with Climate Circus to provide a stall at St Thomas’s church in Salisbury. This was as part of their Autumn Fete, to which we were invited as a result of our stalls in Salisbury Market.
St. Thomas’s has an active Green Christians group, with whom we are happy to co-operate (as indeed we are with people of any religious denomination or none). Salisbury Christian Aid has also become one of our member groups.
In both 2024 and 2025 we were invited with our stall to St Marks Church “Eco Day” summer fete. (photo) Two of our Trustees also gave a talk at Laverstock Mothers Union.
Further Afield
In August 2024 one of our leaflet display boards went with Trustee Brig Oubridge to the annual Green Gathering at Chepstow. The Green Gathering is an award-winning renewably-powered festival-type outdoor event which has also been a meeting ground and major networking opportunity for Green and environmental activists from across Britain for over 40 years.
Our range of Bite-size Climate Science leaflets was well received at the Green Gathering in 2024, so in 2025 Brig took them, along with our newly produced Big Banner, to the Green Futures field at Glastonbury Festival, where they were displayed in the Speakers’ Forum. One of the guest speakers appearing there was Dr. Richard Betts of Exeter University and the Met. Office, who is a leading British member of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and UK parliamentary adviser. We were delighted when he read through the Big Banner and our full range of leaflets and gave them all his seal of approval.
In August 2025, Brig and his wife Loppy again took a leaflet rack and the Big Banner to the Green Gathering, where they were displayed in the Campaigns Area. More good networking was done, and we have now received a grant enabling us to take our full stall (and a fuller crew) in future years, to build stronger connections with like-minded groups and organisations across the country.
Benefit Gig with Seize the Day
Probably our most enjoyable event so far was the benefit gig we held at Brown Street in October 2022 with campaigning band Seize the Day, pictured left taking part in a street protest in London.
This gig was also very successful for us financially, making a profit of over £300 which funded us throughout our first year… and Seize the Day actually became one of our member groups!
We would be pleased to hold more such events in future.
